Shot across London during a period of introspection, Pulp gathers portraits of individuals, siblings, friends, couples, and roommates in their own homes, wearing their own clothes. The result is a raw yet tender mosaic of unique personalities — an exploration of identity and intimacy at a time when both seemed fragile yet meaningful. There is a quiet pulse running through the series. Sensual and vibrant, the subjects radiate a magnetic energy, their gaze holding ours.

The project is the artist’s love letter to a city where he lived for over a decade, capturing its atmosphere and the people who made it feel special.

French photographer Maxime Imbert is now based in Paris. His practice blends fashion photography, documentary, and cinematography. He holds a BA in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2014).
In 2019, he self-published his first book, City of Spiders, a Dario Argento–inspired ode to womanhood. His work has appeared in magazines such as Dazed & Confused, SSAW, System, Double, and Re-Edition.
